COPE is an outreach, prevention, and education organization focused on helping communities in Southwest Michigan deal with substance use and recovery.
Thanks to funding from Southwest Michigan Behavioral Health, we provide resources and educational programming on substance use, addiction, and recovery. We host a variety of support group meetings and addiction recovery programs. We also offer overdose prevention trainings and distribute free Naloxone to anyone in need.
Through Kalamazoo Harm Reduction, we distribute free harm reduction supplies.
At our facility in Kalamazoo, we offer recreational programs related to art, music, and movement that are open to the public and designed to be comfortable for beginners.
All in all, COPE is a network of compassionate people coming together to support drug user and recovery communities.

On December 1st, please show us your support with a donation in celebration of Giving Tuesday. Your contributions will fund our basic operations for another year and allow us to continue our work meeting substance users where they're at, supporting them in their recovery, and building more compassionate communities.
Every bit of your support makes a difference.
Please see events page for the up-to-date meeting information and updates. During COVID, some of our programs take place online.
Unless marked otherwise, all of our programs are accepted by the Kalamazoo Drug Court. This means participants in a drug court program can get their papers signed for participation in classes like yoga and guitar just as is done at NA or AA. For more information, click here.
Community support is important to our work at COPE. There are many ways you can get involved, and every bit that you contribute goes a long way in helping us fulfill our mission.
